Bucket Bag Workshop* / 21st July 2018 1300-1630 hrs
Ever wanted a bucket bag? Ever wanted to be able to say you made it yourself? Well, this workshop was made for just for you (like your bucket bag will be)!
Experience the sense of accomplishment that comes with making your own bag, instead of getting them off a shelf. Set yourself apart from everyone else by building a bucket bag that is uniquely yours.
Apply your understanding to give your old broken bags a new lease of life or even make another for someone special (bucket bags make good gifts).
In this 3.5 hour workshop, you will be introduced to the saddle stitching technique used widely in leather craft and learn to understand various leather types, their properties, cutting techniques as well as construction and finishing methods.
No prior knowledge required. Recommended for participants who have completed the Basic Leathercrafting workshops, but we welcome all, from amateurs to seasoned pros.
All tools, materials are provided. You take home a shiny new bucket bag handmade exactly in the colour you want it, with full bragging rights.
~ The best student gets to walk away with a complete set of basic tools – pricking iron, needle, thread, hammer, mallet and tracing tools! ~
